i know it has been a while... a week or maybe a few days not sure... time is really going by fast here. Life is so fast here and at the end of the day i have accomplished so little.
So luke threw up 13 times last night and sat on the toilet 3 times. He is much better today so I am hoping for a quick recovery. I have began to wash clothes, sheets and the house now smells like lysol.
I did have a lot planned for today but not any more. Just relaxing before soccer practice tonight. The game is in 2 days and I still need to get my game on. lol
It has been a month since Joyce, spencers mom send a care package. Gosh sure hope it gets here soon since it has our new debit cards in it. Our other ones expired last week. Don't worry we got out enough money to help survive for a while.
Okay so i haven't given you and prayer requests in a while so here we go...
1. I will be teaching a seminar next weekend. Pray it goes well and we travel well to the city. We will be going through mountains so we will be bring the motion meds along :)
2. still waiting on getting the computers and satellites for our district learning centers out of costumes... any day now
3. spencer will be traveling to Kenya, Burunidi, DRC and 3 districts in Rwanda soon for their district assemblies. 16 days.... which is not bad since it was 24 days and some of the time he will be here in Rwanda which means we will see him some.
4. we need some work done on our car... hopefully it will not cost a fortune. thought our car sold in Senegal but the guy is trying to negotiate more. boohoo
5. we still need to hire a night guard...had to let the other one go.
6. praying that we have a team come to work on our compound. we have several roof leaks and other projects that need to be done. having a team will help finance the needs on the property!!
okay better go... love all yall and remember... always untuck your mosquito net when you have a child throwing up...

Not a Blogger
Okay, clearly I don't blog. I will keep trying though! We are now in Kigali, Rwanda. We had a great month and a half being with family and friends in the states this summer. We arrived here July 9th and are almost settled. I know that sounds like long enough, right? Anyway, we instantly appreciated the climate here as opposed to the oven that Senegal was, but we miss many of our friends and our church there. The kids have begun school in an English school and are really enjoying it. April will be playing soccer next Saturday in the big stadium here. She is on a team of ex-pat women and they will be playing against the Rwandan women of parliament. It sounds kind of crazy to us too... We are still learning our new assignments and there is much to be done. We are keeping at it. I (Spencer) will be away from home for 24 days - way too long for me - going to an education meeting in Nairobi, and the district assemblies in Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi. Keep us all in your prayers. I still haven't taken the time to figure out how to get the subscribe button, so if anyone has any simple advice for that, email me!! Blessings.

Been a while...
Let me begin with apologies for the length of time since our last update. We are all doing well. We did have a great Christmas season. We missed our families, but God blessed us greatly through the past year here. Here's a little about what is going on with us right now.
In general - we are still adjusting! It is amazing how we have to continue to remind ourselves that everyone has some different background. Culturally speaking, there are some things that we probably never understand, but we continue to try and have some friends who help us get beneath the surface sometimes. We are all excited about our transition time this summer. When we move from Senegal to Rwanda, we are taking a bit of a detour through the States! We will be speaking this June in Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, and Florida. We are thankful for this opportunity to share and to see family and friends!
The kids - Luke and Abby (or Abi as her teachers at school spell it!) are doing great. They are learning French pretty well and they love their school. They love to play - with anyone - regardless of language. Anywhere we go, they are likely to find someone to entertain or play with. They love to play together and of course they have their share of disagreements...
April - April is now learning more about the financial world she will be accounting for. For now she has purchased the software and is learning the program and how Michelle Eby uses it for the Africa West Field bookkeeping. She has now made first contact with the person in charge of the children's ministries for our new field. She is also attending a conference on ministering to street children. This is really giving her an even deeper desire to to something to help children.
Spencer - Spencer is beginning to assist our new Field Strategy Coordinator, Chanshi Chanda. There are some limitations due to the distance we are from the field right now, but he is getting to know many things about the French Equatorial Field. The main help right now is being the communicator between the general church and the region to the local district superintendents. The communication right now is maily about preparations for General Assembly.
Prayer - First we need to ask for prayer for two of our pastor/leaders on the Africa West Field. They were involved in a traffic accident in which two people died. They were help in police custody - for their protection from the families of the deceased - for nearly three days. They are required to pay remuneration to the falilies of the deceased now. Their names are Moise and Cyrille. Moise is in the hospital now recovering from injuries recieved in the beating the two received after the accident. We can hardly begin to imagine what these two men of God are going through. Please, say a prayer for them.
- Pray for our transition. There are many details and a TON of waiting. We need your prayerful support as we wait on God and others througout this process.
- Pray for us as we enter new positions. We have begun slowly, which is good, but we want to be use by God in our new assignments.
- Rwanda - pray for peace to prevail. Things look to be okay there and have been pretty settled for some time, but conflict continues close by. Pray for the people there in the areas of comflict as you think of our safety.
We will try to update again soon - with pics! We greatly appreciate your prayers, and as always we love to hear from family and friends any way any time! Blessings!

Christmas in Senegal
Christmas in Senegal has been great. It is different but good. Thanks for our wonderful family and Links Churches in IL we were able to have a huge Christmas. God has been so good to us.
It is weird how things in a mostly Muslim Country really aren't too much different than we are used to. There are plenty of shopping going on and there are Santas at the grocery stores. Although they do look a little different. It is funny how the santa here is African but has stark white hair and beard. Abby didn't think it was santa.
The kids were in a Christmas play at church. Luke was a shephard and one of the wise men and Abby was an angel. They both had speaking parts and did a great job.
Life is good for us. We are anticipating "God" things this year. We are still unsure when we will be headed to Rwanda but are excited and anxious to get there. We are also praying that we will be able to make it to Generall Assembly in June. This may be our transition time and route to Rwanda. If your church would like for us to come and speak this summer please let us know and we will see what we can do.
The picture below is a guy who was riding his rollerblades and hanging on to our car. When he noticed us taking pictures he started to show off. It was funny.
We love and appreciate all of you.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
Love the Baggotts

Kigali, Rwanda
As some of you know, we have accepted an assignment in Kigali Rwanda with the French Equatorial Field. Our French study is coming to a close here in Senegal and we are excited to serve the Lord in our new assignment. Our new assignment will be for the "Great Lakes Region." This area will include Rwanda - where we will live, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our first plan for this move was in December... but, for several reasons we are now looking to move sometime late Spring or Summer of 2009. Please pray for us as we have a many things to take care of before we can settle down in Kigali.
Okay I promise I will blog soon more about what we will be doing in Rwanda but for now I am in a meeting and need to be discrete. : )
Here are some prayer requests that we would appreciate you praying for.
1. Everything that is involved in moving. (Shipping our things, airline quotes, timing etc.)
2. Once again transitioning Luke and Abby into another Country, home and school.
3. Pray that we have funds come in to help with General Assembly and to purchase a vehicle when we arrive in Kigali.
4. This will be our first Christmas away from family.
5. Finally, pray that we will be able to impact lives for Christ here in Senegal even before we move.
We are thankful to have those of you who partner with us in prayer. We feel like we have sacrificed little to be here - we are truly blessed! May you be as blessed as we are this Christmas season!
We love you all,
Spencer, April, Lucas and Abigail
